I like trips to a very ambivalent attitude. The point is, in fact, very difficult, I would say that a double-edged....

There is an idea somehow keep a track of the theme of Windows 8. Moreover, I have already done on the PC (on a local copy of the site) page titled ' Waiting for Windows 8'. In any such trip has two components: the business and tourist.

I was surprised many years (or more accurately, had ceased to surprise, accustomed to ) the fact that these trips (I'll talk about the ' press tour ', so as better to know the organization and conduct ) and the organizers of the (Russian ), and visitors do hardly . To go to the other end of the earth ( and this is physically not very easy ), just to sleep in a decent hotel room? The peculiarity of this trip (in fact for this and thank you) was that all household trips were great questions solved ( here too there are many private, but all the same problems) and we have, besides the business was two days ' cultural program ', which is the Moscow office .

Even 10 years ago in our market the term ' press tour ' - the organization of travel journalists. Previously the term was not. Journalists just went to the event, as all the ' normal' participants. And then began to go to ' press tour '.

In short, I personally have long to feel yourself as an IT journalist for a long time the market began the process of separating the media from the actual reality of IT. This process is controlled by PR-service IT company. And the bigger the company, this process can be clearly seen.

There may be an analogy with the virtual machine, which are to improve the insulation of the computational process from all the major.

This process of isolation media is well observed, and at home, but very clearly manifested in the ' big conferences '. Before, I felt like a participant in the conference, and now - an isolated member of a process called ' press tour '.

Of course, I will resist such an order of things. But at the same time see how many of my colleagues, very often ' fly by ' things at conferences, which are really interesting, and for whom, and would have to go.

All of these truly amazing (even though, objectively, it is understandable why there is so). Because it turns out that, on the one hand, the inviting party, like, genuinely interested in what journalists have written about the event, more and more interesting. On the other hand, is done so that they wrote less and boring....
